History of Cuba Libre<\/h2>\n

To celebrate the end of the Cuban Revolutionary War, ordered the US troops Cuban rum with Coca Cola and lime. Man nudged together and shouted „Cuba Libre“ (Free Cuba). Actually precisely „viva Cuba libre“ (Long live free Cuba). The world-famous long drink and the Cuba Libre recipe was born.<\/p>\n

The cocktail Cuba Libre<\/h2>\n

„Cuba Libre“ is a minimalist cocktail that lives on its ingredients. A good rum, good Cola and a handful of ice.<\/p>\n

Andreas Guse goes in his blog post on the assumption that only Firitz-Cola’s and Coca Cola do not, but that is as always a matter of taste. We drink our personal Cuba Libre always with Coca Cola, but that should be no advertising. Everyone should of itself discover the taste and we want to aim for at this point in no way a political discussion. If you liked the cola, it is the right thing. Andreas Guse but has brought it almost right to the point: „Do not garnish with something that does not belong purely“. Frills like pineapple slice, melon and the like do not belong in the Cuba Libre (also not as decoration). Although a mint branch is not in the recipe, but it fits exceptionally well with the ingredients RUM and Cola.<\/p>\n

The perfect recipe Cuba Libre<\/h2>\n

When is a recipe perfect? That certainly can not say, because a cocktail has so much to do with taste and flavors and obviously differ. Personally, the RUM amount in the recipe as too high. I drink the Cuba Libre happy in 4cl version. A good friend of us drink the Cuba Libre rather with 6 cl rum.<\/p>\n
